Dr. Nadeem Abdullah

Dr Nadeem Abdullah is a pediatric endocrinologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi. He completed his CCT and training in the UK. He subsequently completed an MSc in paediatric diabetes from the University of Warwick, UK. He worked as a consultant in the department of paediatric endocrinology, RVI, Newcastle upon Tyne and at Cambridge University NHS Hospitals before moving to SKMC in 2017.

Dr Nadeem Abdullah has completed many projects successfully both regionally and nationally in the field of endocrinology and have written several guidelines. He has delivered several educational programs nationally in the UK and has contributed towards structured patient education.

He has received formal training in medical education and obtained a certificate in clinical education form the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He has taught undergraduate medical students on the PPG course at the University of Cambridge, UK and has been a Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Tutor for many years.

Dr Nadeem Abdullah is a public speaker and presents frequently to international audiences. He has contributed to several research projects and published in peer review journals.

His expertise involves caring for children with diabetes, hormonal disturbances, growth problems and obesity. He is committed to providing patient centred care and practices motivational interview skills during consultation to empower his patients and their families. More recently his contributions have been instrumental in establishing department of health obesity guidelines in Abu Dhabi to help launch weight management programme and structured education for children and adolescents with obesity.
